More Prayers Please!!

Sorry, the prayer requests seem to keep coming...

Some of you guys know Nathan Barkman from church. He's a 16-year-old guy, really fun, and plays with Beth's little bluegrass group on Sundays.

Nathan has got H1N1 (swine flu) really bad-- he's had temperatures of 104 all week and it's developing into pneumonia. :-( Please, please pray for him... this swine flu thing is scary. :-S

I haven't heard much more about Denise; she is still in the hospital, but praise the Lord, she is hanging in there.

It'll be interesting though to see what kind of after-effects this has on some people! :-S

But God is in control-- through every scary thing in life, He is still orchestrating all the events for His glory and our good. I am glad we have that truth to rest in.

"Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone." (Psalm 91:9-12)

"Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah." (Psalm 46:10-11)

Mommy is making us take lots of vitamins and colloidal silver (sp?) to build up our immunities... I thought at first that the swine flu thing was just a scare, until it started reaching close to home... :-S; November 2, 2009 at 9:29 AM

PRAYER REQUESTS

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints" (Ephesians 6:18)

PLEASE PRAY...

* That I would draw nearer to God every day and never allow my relationship to become stagnant ritual; particularly that I would grow in the area of submission, patience, 1 Corinthians 13 love, and wholehearted devotion

* That I might have wisdom as I edit "The Marquis' Daughter"; that the Lord would bless and work through it; and that I might find just the right publisher for it.

* That I would submit to the Lord's work in my life, whatever it may be; that I would take each opportunity He brings me (even the seemingly hard ones) to draw closer to Him and point others to Him

*That our Etsy shop might be successful and that it would be a means by which we can glorify God and share the Gospel

Ephesians 2:1-10

And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-- among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. [A Practicing Christian]...it means that every single act and feeling, every experience, whether pleasant or unpleasant, must be referred to God. It means looking at everything as something that comes from Him, and always looking to Him and asking His will first, and saying, "How would he wish me to deal with this?"
