Did anybody take time to write down promises in Scripture this week? I didn't remember every single time I came across one, but I was able to get several written down. Here they are:
God Promises...
- TO WORK ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR GOOD
- Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."
- TO SUSTAIN US
- Psalm 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
- TO PROTECT US
- Psalm 91 (the whole chapter)
- TO GIVE US WISDOM
- James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
- TO NEVER FAIL, LEAVE, OR FORSAKE US
- Hebrews 13:5 "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have; for He hath said, 'I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.'"
- Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail, nor forsake thee."
- Deuteronomy 31:8 "And the LORD, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."
- TO GIVE A CROWN OF LIFE TO THOSE WHO LOVE HIM
- James 1:12 "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him."
- TO DRAW NEAR TO US
- James 4:8a "Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you."
- TO RAISE US UP IN CHRIST
- 1 Corinthians 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."
What did you learn this week about God's promises? Please feel free to share references and thoughts in the Comments section! (Pweez!! :-D I don't hate comments!! :-D )

*Weepingly* Dearest, I was not able to do your challenge this week. :-( I wanted to, it just wasn't possible w/ the time my normal study took up. :-( After reading yours though I believe that I'm going to MAKE TIME to do it THIS week. Yours were such a blessing to read over this morning! Especially the promise that He will draw nigh to us...wow!
Wonderful, Melanie! I am going to memorize some of these. Thank you! :)
Love,
Gabrielle
