This is the pattern I used: Simplicty, 4055.
Here are some pictures of me in the dress:

Look! I'm Elinor Dashwood! Or perhaps I am Catherine Morland, daydreaming about breathtaking adventures in ancient castles...
Right now I am working on sewing some jumpers for some special little girls that I am going to visit next week. :-)
After I come home, I plan on making a white regency gown out of the same pattern as the dress above (I already have the fabric-- it's beautiful!! :-D ) And I plan on trying this authentic vintage pattern which I ordered off of Best Vintage Patterns.
I am also willing to make a Regency gown for anyone (local) who is willing to pay for fabric, notions, and labor. :-)

Oh Melanie!!! Gorgeous!!! I love it and the color!!! You look just like an Elinor Dashwood or Catherine Morland! What fun it must be to wear!
Melanie,
It is BEAUTIFUL!
I just got fabric for my 1909 Edwardian dress, and I can't wait to start sewing!
Hannah (and Esther)
Do you do alot of sewing? I've done some basic stuff such as culottes for my little sisters, a couple jumpers with the help of my mom, and a couple skirts for myself.
It is really pretty! I like the color. And that white dress you are planning to make sounds really pretty. :)
Abbie, yes, recently I have picked up a great interest in sewing, particularly historical costumes, and it's kept me pretty busy. I enjoy it a lot! :-)
Whoohooo, lookit there! It's BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE it!! I'm going to have to look that pattern up...even though I still haven't even finished the nightgown I'm working on... =P
Oh, and would you mind asking Bethy to call me?? I think I've already called your house twice today and I don't want to look like I'm bugging ya'll, but I do need to talk to her about Monday/Wednesday (or just have her e-mail me) Thanks!!
HUGS!!
Very cool, it looks like it'd be fun to wear!
Well done!! I am right there with you dreaming of adventures in ancient castles!! It is a very beautiful color of blue. I also ADORE that old pattern that you have at the end.
I'm working on that e-mail! :)
